What do you do when you want to access some information about a running application or a running process? Why you access the Task Manager of course by pressing Alt + Ctrl + Del. If the functionality provided by the Task Manager is not enough, you can turn to 3rd party developed applications.

One such application is the Igor Arsenin-developed program TaskInfo. This application weighs in at little under 3MB, meaning the download will complete in no time at all. The installation process is a straightforward and simple process as well. You need only follow the steps in the setup wizard and few clicks later the application is up and running.

Speaking of running, TaskInfo should run smoothly on all versions of the Microsoft-developed Windows operating system. This means the old but popular Windows XP, the much avoided Windows Vista, and the latest iteration, the latest and greatest, Windows 7.

What TaskInfo does is take the functionality provided by the Task Manager and takes it one step further. It displays info on all running processes and threads. It even displays running processes that would not like to be seen, like worms, spyware, keyloggers and other malware types. TaskInfo also displays CPU usage and memory usage. Speaking of memory usage, the application features a “Free RAM” tool.

From within the application you can put your computer in Stand By Mode, you can lock the system, you can shutdown and force shutdown the computer, and you can restart or force restart the computer.

TaskInfo also displays information about your system like the OS version, how much time has passed since you logged on, detailed information about the CPU, all running drivers, all open files, and much more.

The downside is that TaskInfo is not freeware. You can use the software free of charge, but only during the 30-day trial period.
